It’s been a stunning week on the big Anglian Water Reservoirs, with the highlight a quite magnificent 14lb 8oz rainbow from Ravensthorpe Reservoir to Northampton angler Martin Nelson – the biggest fish from the venue between Northampton and Rugby for several seasons.
Martin caught the massive fish from the dam using a Damsel nymph. The fishery record stands at 16lb 13oz 8dr, caught by Reg Belham back in 2002. Bank anglers heading for Ravensthorpe should look to fish the dam and the platforms, while boat anglers are catching everywhere.
