Fish week 614 (season 26,882) returns 239 (6,270) rod average 2.56(4.28)The best rainbow recorded last week fell to Grafham warden Ray Jenkins who fished the bottom of the South arm. Ray netted a superb looking fish weighing 4lb 4oz.
The arrival of cooler weather last week has temporarily affected rod averages despite 1500 stock fish being released.
The main basin fished best generally. However, with south west winds increasing some boats were prepared to fish the bottom of the arms again, which are now gin clear and algae free.
Bank anglers saw little action after the week before of good fish off the Dam and Fantasy Island. One or two fish were taken around Sykes Lane, Stockie Bay area and Normanton.
