        Fish week 575 (season 27,457) returns 262 (6,532) rod average 2.19 (4.2)

        Boat anglers are faring best at the moment. Anglers fishing in the Tuesday evening boat league and the Over 50’s boat pairs’ match were kept busy with plenty of limits. (See competition news for full report). 6,000 Rainbows were introduced mid week with 4,000 more going in this week so prospects look good.

        Season ticket holder Paul Kirkup of Kibworth won week 8 of the league with 6 fish from the Main basin. Close behind was Paul Wild who also had 6 fish this time from the middle of the South arm

        Anglian Water Over 50’s Pairs match
        This match fished to Loch Style rules, without fly size restrictions, saw the top six anglers take their limits. The best Rainbow weighed 3lb 1oz and was taken by Tim Williams. Ken Moore weighed in the best Brown at 3lb.

        Fish week 473 (season 15,015) returns 151 (3,975) rod average 3.13(3.77)

        Freddie Brown took the best bag of the week with 8 Rainbows. Freddie (aged 82) lives in Espo, Finland. He caught his 8 rainbows weighing 22lb 6oz from Gaynes Cove by fishing a floating line with a diawl bach and a damsel nymph fished almost static. Fishing Grafham for four days earlier
