Fish with the stars Pairs Flyfishing competition and charity auction
Rutland Water, Saturday 14 August 2010Trophies and fantastic prizes to be won.
Star raffle and charity auction. England international goal keeper David Seaman is helping with the auction following the meal in the Castaways Restaurant.
Competitors are invited to donate an item for the auction or a prize.There are two ways you can enter this event raising funds to support our wounded troops who have been injured in overseas conflicts.

Be quick as bidding closes on 1 April when Fisheries Manager Jon Marshall will open the sealed envelopes at Rutland Water’s opening day.
Submit your bid (minimum reserve £120 which includes fishing and post match meal), along with the name of the star you would like to fish with to:

A rod average of 7.5 on opening day was an excellent way to start the season.
Lots of limits were recorded and both bank and boat anglers caught equally well. A few over wintered fish have been caught over the weekend. Shaun Allen of Market Harborough caught the best Rainbow on opening day – a fish of 10lb 2oz. Shaun caught the fish at Bog Bay on the west bank of Pitsford.John Hoskins of Bromsgrove took an impressive limit of fish on the bank on Friday. John caught a fish of 9lb 1oz and three others weighing over 3lb, for a total of over 28lb of fish in his bag. Local angler Nathan Reilly took an 8 fish limit on the bank at North Farm Bay on Friday. His bag limit weighed just over 20lb, with his best fish weighing 4lb 8oz. Anthony Krate of Northampton took 6 fish on the bank including Rainbows of 5lb and 4lb.
Spalding angler Graham Emms boat fished alone on Friday catching 8 fish in one hour in North Farm Bay. He used a Di7 and black and green lure. He later fished as many different areas as possible in search of over wintered fish. Graham went home a happy man catching and releasing a further 18 fish on top of his 8 fish bag.
Jade Tuffs of Market Harborough took her limit in no time at all when she fished from the bank on Friday. Jade’s 8 fish weighed over 20lb and she was the guest of a season permit holder!
