  Hi there, going to have a go at one of the opens there in school hols in the next couple of weeks, never been before so was wondering what sort of depth it is, species in there, best baits and tactics etc.

  Is that the place Paddy runs ? (Kevin Armstrong ) If it is Ryan you will be up against some tough competition them Hemsworth lads will have the place sussed !

  Ryan if its the same place im thinking of its thin strips 12m wide it will be pellet across.

  ye that’s what it looks like on google maps, is it fishery own pellets? are they feeding micros or 4mms etc? hard pellets or expanders? any info much appreciated, i see there is a couple of other ponds or arent they match ponds? do they catch down middle?

  Yes it’s the fishery run by Paddy….maggot fishing pretty well and carp been caught on pellet as well.
  Dale Shepherd won the latest match there on Wednesday with 60 odd pounds of mainly smallish carp…..don’t let that fool you though as the nice ide and skimmers are the most prolific species on these ponds.
  You can catch 6 sections for those and going across or trying the margins every so often for the carp.
  Good craic and a good consistant fishery.
  Dale has had a match win on here with over 50lb of just silvers……he is the lad to beat here….beat him and you will win.
  There are some other tidy lads who fish the matches here though.
  
  Don’t bring meat here….it’s banned.

  Krusty theres some usefull stuff on here, theres hundreds of pages of good threads to read through, theres always someone willing to answer any questions you have too.
