I think the best person who you could speak to is Pete Caton, he knows the place inside out and he will be probably be there on Sunday plus his record up there is second to none

Myself and my mate fished it a fair bit back in March/April time and did reasonably well fishing pellet up and down in the water.

However though this may work on some of the lakes, but I think you will need to take worm and caster or meat. It really changes day to day so I would ask Pete for his advice. Bread can also work, if you speak to Bob Avery or Paul Newell, they might be able to give you some clues how they fish it with bread

There is a tackle shop onsite but I don’t think they sell worm or caster.

We had a match on extension early may, i won it with worm & caster, but second place fished & fed corn all day and was only a few ounces behind. I would def take worm.

most open match’s are being doninated by bread at the moment. all they are doing is putting 2 mushed up loafs in a bucket adding water and adding a bag of brown crum to help bind it the night before and using a piece of punched bread or worm on the hook as feed
if you don’t want to do this just fish pellet shallow and hope you don’t draw next to caton, newell or rob avery
