AnonymousPaste on the long pole and feeding heavy with 6mls worked very well last summer. Thats what i will be doing if i draw it on sunday(i wish). Also paste on the bomb across to the island.

TF_KarponiWell Trueblue not quite as good as I thought it would be, but certainly give the elastic a good stretching!! 3 lumps and a dozen or so F1s (very samll) for 28lb 7oz that left me 7th on the lake. Top weight was 73lb, by the way I was on Holbar 1. There was 4 weights in the 30’s and I think a 50lb weight.
Caught mainly on the pole at 11mtrs as it was blowing quite hard making presentation tricky.
Had a couple of F1s and a 7lb carp on method, but it was very slow so switched to the pole. Had the rest on 6mm expander on the pole feeding 4mm and micros. Should have took some 8mms me thinks and maybe I would have had some more lumps. Corner pegs 16 and 18 both had near 40lb wind blowing in.
Wasn’t a good day for paste so I didn’t try it maybe you might get a better day tomorrow. Good luck Karponi. -

AnonymousHolbar 1 is not as good as Holbar 2 in my opinion as there are less lumps in 1 but a lot more of those tiny fish.
I will fish paste tomorrow if i draw on either of the Holbar lakes but would rather be on 2. I hope the winds not a problem tomorrow.
However, if its windy. I would expect the fish will come a little closer and i should be able to sort out some kind of reasonable presentation.
Will let you know how it fishes if i draw on the Holbars lakes.

AnonymousNever got there Karponi. On arriving home from Heronbrook on Saturday. We realised that the car had a flat tier. Cannot get 2 of the nuts undone to change the tier. So, i never went fishing on Sunday.
Cannot believe Green Flag want £99 to come out and undo the nuts so i can change the tier because the car is at home. If i had phoned while 3/4 mile away from my home. They would have been happy to come out and fix the wheel as part of the policy.

AnonymousI would have just taken the car 3/4 mile on 3 wheels if they had agreed to come out and remove the tier so i could put on the spare. They told me that as it had now been reported. They would not be coming out without a payment of £99. Nice ppl at Green flag, lol
One of my mates has the tools to remove the nuts. Just hope he can get himself in to gear before the weekend and fix the problem or i will be staying at home next weekend.
