I am considering between Browning z7 and the new Tricast veriton – both around the £1500 mark. My last pole I have had for 10 years – daiwa 412 -£1200 – worked out 100 pounds a year not bad. I,m choosing these two rather than top of the range as I am slightly heavy handed, fish 13 metres, now and again will go longer. You get lot of kits with both poles, Tricast will keep produce spares even when no longer in production. Lots of good reports on the Browning. Your thoughts please one dealer said the Z7 was not that special? I know from reading a lot of the posts that many of you have tried numerous poles and I would be grateful for your advice.

That could be another choice, It will be interesting to see how the Veriton measures up. Is the Aristocrat robust

very strong as most tricast poles are no problem using red hydro, biggest fish ive had so far was 15lb 2oz at rolfs not even a creak out of the pole.if you buy a tricast get a couple of the short n/o4,s makes it even better
