Given how well Jamie Masson has consistently done for Scotland does he not dispel the myth that commercial anglers cannot fish / compete in the world championships?

I hope that the Angling Trust et al push for the England managers and anglers who have not received honours from the queen receive them in the next list. They all deserve it.

I was out there from Wednesday.

The boys are totally awesome, the hard work and dedication required to pull off a performance like that is incredible.

The venue was fair, tactical and full of fish.

It was a pleasure to witness and be part of a magnificant achievement, I hope they all get the recognition that is deserved.

How big were the Carp Lee? I may have misread the section weights etc but some seemed to bwe indicating a very high section placing with 1 Carp?

The carp where between 1 and 2kg.

Just look at the 3 hr weights from the England boys to see how good the fishin was.

A typical match was 1-2kg of bleak, 1-4kg of cats and some late carp.

England had it mastered throughout. Proper team display. It sacrifices the chance of individual glory, but not a single angler would change the weekend result!
