        just been told that next year, the disabled and ladies england teams will not be entering the world champs due to no funding!!!
        is this true????
        what a sorry state, if it is!!!!
        them tarts who call themselves footballers get all that money for doing absolutley naff all,, and we as a country cant find money to fund world class anglers who regularly fill the top spot in the world of matchfishing!!!!!
        its a disgrace!~naughty ~naughty

          but this is england.
          we don’t like winners, only losers.
          that is why tennis is popular with the media and press, angling is often overlooked.
          sad but true.

            I don’t know but I wouldn’t be surprised.
            One of the reasons the juniors entered last year is that Total-Fishing members raised over a grand to contribute to their fees at the Glebe festival. It’s a sorry state. There’s nothing in it for a sponsor because the teams you mention get no coverage; the money needs to come from government really.
