I am not after any methods, I would just like to know what the target fish are and possible weights, what size are the average f1s?, am i likely to get bitted out, any big carp and are there any other fish worth targeting?
        Any info would be great.~think

Mainly F1’s between 12oz and 2lb, plenty of proper Carp in there too but they dont get caught and if you do get one consider it a bonus. You could get bitted out as there are loads of silvers, this tends to happen when feeding casters altough at the same time casters can be a brilliant bait on there.

Thanks for the reply, are the silvers worth catching or are they too small?

Silvers are too small to target.

Like steve says F1s from 12oz to 2lb are your target with quite a few bigger carp which are treated as bonus fish when caught – sometimes even classed as nuisance fish as they can destroy your close in swim and actually cause you to catch less weight~think ~think

Once again thanks for the info, will I get away with 0.14 or should I fish 0.12?

Line wise I fish 0.12 main line and 0.10 hook lengths and generally a size 18 hook

Pellet or worm and caster seem to be the in bait at the mo there

I now have some idea of what I should be doing, what about shallow/edge or down the middle?

Depends where you draw to be honest and how many are on the lake. If there are a lot on there, you will need to catch right across in my opinion as the pressure of a lot of anglers will push them away from the near bank

If you have an island bare bank to fish against, I would look to start against this fishing tight across with pellet over micros. Only kinder a few micros in at a time. I would also feed a line short (top 3) and a left and right margin tight into cover if you have any and leave these for as long as poss. You might have to do a bit of gardening to start with so your margins are clear.

Worm and caster works as well, I don’t use it as it’s to expensive down here but anglers like Pete Caton and Stuart Palsar do very well fishing it there

I fished meat there yesterday and the bottom line it didn’t work.
