OOOPs!
I have had a pole cap fly past my ear and into the R Yare on a hot and sunny day. The cap was on the 16 metre section and the air inside must just have expanded until it blew the cap off!
I have also had those top set holders, the clear ones with blue caps and two sections separated by a central divider, bend so much during the day that I couldn’t get the top sets into them after a match.
Saturday all the maggots died and I presume the casters were dead in their box of water as the water in there was so hot that I wouldn’t have bathed my 3 month grandson in it after doing the ‘elbow test’! The worms were almost dead even though I made sure they were in the shade.
I was pegged in the middle of a reed bed and the reeds were about 6 foot tall. Sitting on my box the air was totally still with no breath of wind whatsoever, the temp must have been somewhere near forty sitting in the full sun all day.
Anyone else have any tales to tell of the exceptional weather at the weekend? I know that you soft guys up in the North West had some decent damp weather with sensible temperatures and a bit of a breeze so presumably you don’t have too much to say about it.
