TF_nick_the_2ndYou will catch plenty of a variety of baits including maggot.
The draw is more important on lake 3, you need to be up the top end to win, the nearer you are the better the pegs!!

TF_nick_the_2ndNot sure how lake one is fishing but from what I can gather it is fishing really poor, which isn’t surprising really seeing as most of the fish went belly up last autumn.

TF_waveydavey21Thanks, for the replies re lake one. Have they any plans to restock the carp in lake one, going to a work related national there in a few weeks and lake one is still included?
Thanks.

garber steveParticipanthad agood day plenty off bites started off wet and windy by mid day was sunny and very windy not been down for afew months and had forgot how windy it can get drew peg 112 last peg down centre on left and won it with 165ib fishing pole 3m to my left and method across to reeds on my right half way along.
caught 3 of the weirdest fish i have ever caught in my life i think there called pumpkin seeds when the first won came to the top thought it was a small trout then i netted it to find something that looked like a perana with spots was scared to touch it thinking it would bite me (one weird fish) where have all the barbel gone only had one rest were carp afew tench and odd chubb and skimmer.
can any one tell me what those average carp go im thinking 2-3lb but they must be nearer 4-5lb bcoz all my nets were really close to the mark thought had left plenty of tolorence but only just made it under the limit just have to more carefull next time sorry to go on got carryed away typeing awsome venue just wish we had one in epsom what is the record at monks cheers -

TF_Matt LoveLake 3 is awsome if you draw peg 112 or a couple of others up that end. I doubt the blokes half way down and up the car park end thought it was awsome though lol.
Never knew there were pumpkin seeds in there.
On lake 2 & 3 you have to be careful coz those carp are chunky and weigh more than you think.
Best to put 4 nets in and take a clicker. Count pounds not fish and stop filling each at 40lb and you should be ok.
Lake 2 is more fun for everyone and it seems lake 4 is probably the fairest lake now.
