kookieJust a few points
What is the problem between Keith and Nathan?
The ones who are miked up had an advantage as at times they were told who was catching and where and the amount of time left to land a fish.
felt sorry for tom pickering was routing for him.
I enjoyed the coverage overall felt they talked over each other on occassions. andy may was good.Maybe the commentators on the bank could include the likes of Giles Cochrone, Dave Harrell, Bob Nudd for a better insight and less banal questions

TF_Sid StripeyWell done Nathan !
Despite all the flak you took on here last year (most of it personal and unwarranted!)you came to the lake today and proved that you are indeed a great angler and that is what the tournament is all about – Angling! -

TF_NW Cut AnglerA revelation today. Forget the fishing. We all know he can fish but I criticised him last year. Today he was the consumate professional and represented the sport superbly. Class act ~clap

TF_slopesSelf important, self indulgent, never misses an opportunity to remind you of how good he is /was … however .. to the more important man of the moment .. well done Nathan, against all the knockers you shone through, even ‘fighting’ the fish rather than playing them, perhaps times have changed? How comes SR ( I am not knocking Steve here at all btw) is big and strong enough to play the fish into the net very quickly but Nathan ‘fights’ them into the net. Also noticed how he wasn’t covered in advertising, I’m amazed he was even shown on TV without be painted blue and taught the PI song… Congrats Nathan, we don’t need fisho as much as fisho needs us! … or some people might be out of a job?

Obviously you wasn’t listening when they talked about the “fighting fish” they said how they both do that and thats what most youngsters do nowadays.
But they were refering to Nathan skull dragging them a few years ago when he was at Hayfield, with Steve they were saying that he gets them in quick. Theres difference between the two, have a look at and you’ll see.

TF_slopesI was aware of the Hayfield times and time was precious then, but today they referrred to SR being quick at getting them out but NW fought them out, there was no difference between the two except in the commentary.

TF_NW Cut AnglerDo not get yourself banned Leaky
I was very impressed how Nathan handled himself re the interviews etc. The young man done good and what happened in the past, is ancient history. On the basis of his recent appearance he could handle a TV slot on Tight lines etc with relative ease.
I am bumping this thread because this is the type of thread Nathan deserves IMO
