  He said it was for football reasons…..turning down two clubs both of which are playing in the Champions league….strange choice i feel
  I maybe a bit synical but i think it might have a been a bit more to do with a large pay packet for the next 4 years.

  Its all about the present mate, thats why the scousers haven’t won a thing for years…because their happy to just keep banging on about the past. It’s clear he’s gone for the money, i never thought he was a greedy sod but lets face it if he see’s out his 4 year contract then he needs to come to terms with the fact he’ll never play champions league football again.
