Why do you think anglers could cope with the demands of producing live TV then?

Sid Huggins could stir it up a bit and Keith Arthur on the bank would be better.

Alex Bones does a top job on Fishing Gurus. So does Wendy. But it’s not live.

Its got to be worth a go. The bank reporters let the event down.

I think they do a decent job and more important for me is where are all those people who said Fisho would die when it required membership of the Angling Trust to enter. Competition seems to go from strength to strength.

Nobody said it would die, just numbers would go down.

I thought the blonde Scottish girl was delightful, fun and bubbly with a lovely attitude, Fordy was the stand out, but of course he is knowledgeable because he fishes……badly, but he still fishes, I would replace the other two bank side reporters though, I think for sheer angling knowledge and watercraft we should do what the FA have done for football and use overseas anglers, a couple of Eastern Europeans from the Peterborough area would make interesting viewing.

It did amuse me when the female reporter referred to Steve Stringer! Think it was when they did the draw for the sunday match.

I am told they are now some of the best anglers in the country, very keen too. Every night they are out and about bagging the odd barbel from Orton, a pike or two from the North Bank and quiet a few carp well into double figures from our many local stillwaters.~think ~think ~think ~think

For what its worth I would pick Dave Harrell or perhaps Tom Pickering.

however, re debait, how about adding another tented bit to the AT tented show.
Suggestion; an ‘angling hall of fame’ with american style voice over, proper full size waxworks of famous anglers and maybe former NFA presidentsin addition to a conservation tent (including a speci- section with a stuffed ‘the traveller’ and some named carp- with also some vignettes of stuffed cormanants and otters dismembering fish and other scenes of river and lake fish, medals and famous items of tackle from famous anglers and possibly some mechanical speaking or moving parts of the waxwork dummies with a sponsored livestock shed?
