How do these compare in terms of handling? The drennan comes with 2 pre bushed kits compared to just a single kit from the shimano. Is there much difference in the lightness, rigidity and diameter etc?

Never tried the Drennan, but I’d back my Beastmaster against ANYTHING on the market!!!

Never tried the Shimano but can’t fault the Series 7!

Ultra strong and 2 kits as you say. Used it on Larford’s Specimen lake and it didn’t let me down.

Not used either bit of gear but both are quality companies so there shouldn’t be a problem in that respect. I have not had much Shimano stuff apart from reels but as they are a Japanese company and Drennan is British, and you get a spare top 2 with it which costs an extra £40 if you buy a spare Shimano top two not to mention that you can get the Drennan from Ted Carter for £90 and the Shimano is £135 I know which I would go for.

Just bought the Drennan Series 7 Landing Net Handle and that is quality.

I have the shimano beastmaster, rather than go for cheapness I went for what I see on the bank chatting to a lot of open match anglers the beastmaster is the margin pole most use Drennan never seen one used on the bank as yet?

The Drennan are newer so they cannot have sold so many.

i have had both and i gave the drennen to my bruv.cant fault the shimano feels a lot stronger than the drennen.not to say the drennen is no good its just the shimano feels better balanced and feels like it could stop a train.i also bought the extension to take it to 10mtrs.
