Fish at 11.5 mts or so shallow for Ide, you can catch 60lb in a couple of hours. About 3 pt of maggots will do you. Dont go mad on the line etc, 6 laccy and 0.12 straight through to size 18 911 or 808 for example, start about 18 inch and spray, they will come, if not catch them on the bottom but you still need to feed well.

Method into rat holes far bank, get close because the ownwer has dug little shelves into the bank. You can catch carp say 30lb in last hour/hour and a half or so, some nice carp.

6-7 mtr line you can fish banded 8mm, anything else such as meat and the ide will come onto the line, look for the drop off and come back a few ft up the slope,

Its deep (8-10ft) you will need to catch the ide if they are feeding. There are bars so plumb around.

Best pegs are late 40s early 50s.

caster is best bait for shallow john otherwise u get mithered by little perch in between the ide, spend as long as you can on the ide then fish for carp, if u fish 8mm pellet u wont catch much trust me meat is miles better u wont get mithered by ide on that line coz they will stop feedin after a few hours, once ur ide go after a few hours then start to big pot meat an look to get through 2 pints roughly, top kit depth is what ur lookin for ideally, pellet feeder is better than the method across too at the moment an dont chuck really tight as there is no water across only about 6 inches so look to chuck about a foot away from the holes but make sure u fish at least a 25gram feeder so it dont roll down the shelf as it drops off quickly, there is a bar in most pegs but they tend to be about 16m and there nearly all slighty to ur left or right apart from peg 47 an 50. 47s is only 14m too nice an comfy meat again is what id fish there even if u get the odd ide just keep catchin them at 14oz apeice there well worth puttin in the net. hope that helps

Ide are now at least 1lb each..no less!..maggot just brings perch and skimmers shallow, so fish caster. I found open end feeder to be better than method,
