I was on it just over 2 weeks ago before it was closed for a few days to give the lakes a rest. Day one was on the Speci lake. Middle bank of the 2 lakes. 99lb won the match with backing weights of 93lb, 67lb and several 50lb+ weights. I had 40lb for the lowest weight section win. Wrong end of the lake for me. Wind was very strong and blowing away from the end i was fishing. Pellet waggler was the top method fished about 3ft deep with pellet. Also some skimmers and the odd carp caught on the method. I caught 15lb of small skimmers on the method. Then later in the match caught 5 carp on the pole at 6 meters on paste but very few fish caught on pole on the day for others.
Day two was on the Match lake, both banks. Our match was won with 114lb, with 104lb, 95lb, 86lb back up weights. All caught F1s and small carp up in the water on pellet from the shallow bank. I won the other bank with 80lb of paste caught fish at 5 meters and down the bank, either side in the last hour. My net was a 50/50 split of skimmers and small carp. I only had 3 F1s. 56lb was 2nd on my bank! Again, the wind was strong and gusty and suited those on the shallow bank. Impossible to fish the long pole for most on my bank!
