TF_andymarginmanParticipantTurned up for our club match at Wylands today to fish House lake (which was booked some 10 months ago) all was confirmed ok in mid week by telephone. When we drove past the lake all the Bivvy boys were there,We were then told no you cant have that lake, so we ended up on the poor bit of the snake lake as there was another match on the other half.Members have been there practicing on house lake the last 2 weeks paying £12 day ticket …..YES £12. We have told him in no uncertain terms we will NEVER GO BACK AGAIN !!!
What do you Folks reckon ?

TF_nick_the_2ndMost places are at least £8-10 a day down here in the south-east Rob, some even more!
The Snake is a awful lake that could do with a few more fish in it!

TF_caster robParticipantObviously I know nothing of these sort of venues, they do seem expensive though.
My Derby Railway card cost about £40 and the BAA is about £25, that’s for the year, and gives me miles of some of the best river fishing in the country.

TF_andymarginmanParticipantMy point is changing the venue from a mainly silver fish lake to a carp lake with not many fish in it,It was just a ploy I recon to get us to the venue and get our money he had no intention of ever letting us fish the house lake, I will discourage any angler to go to Wylands, he is devious and greedy and i hope he gets all he deserves,He has nearly ruined our club championship but why would he care !!!!

I reckon you need certifying.£10 to £12 is about average around Surrey for a one rod day ticket, match pegs are £8 to £10 average.
but then I noticed that the Weylands £12 covers 2 rods for 24hours, now that is cheap for down here with the average being £25 to £35 for 24hours on a day ticket water.

A few places like this, which only allow matches on certain lakes during winter when all the day tickets have disappeared, not nice the way they let Andy know on the day after it has been booked for ages.
