        Hi out there

I have a match on this lake next week, and living in the ar$e end of Kent, have never seen the place. Anyone fished it, or know anything about the place – baits, methods, size of fish, target weights, etc? Their website has some match weights from last year, but nothing seems particularly current on it.

last time I fished it, match was one with 120lbs plus on paste. Every other match I’ve fished there has been won by fishing method/pellet feeder tight to the island.

It gets affected badly by the wind and tows realy hard. If fishing the pole you need to fish reasonably heavy floatwise and be prepared to lay a fair bit of line on deck.

Carp average 3-5lbs and one word of warning. They tend not to fight too hard until you get them within netting range when they go mental.

Lots of silvers to go for either shallow or on deck and can be an option if carp aren’t really having it (or if there is a silver fish pool).

Most pegs have an island chuck, although its a fair distance at tope end.
