As many regulars to the site will know, this match takes place on Saturday, September 18. Bad luck those Bucks anglers doing well in the County Championship as your final takes place at Oakfield Fishery the same day!

By the way, Surrey anglers will have Twynersh on Sunday, September 19.

Looking at the likely pegging for the LTC with 40-50 at Laleham but using Chertsey Meadow only if we cannot fit pegs in. Chertsey, although it has its days, has fished p**s poor in matches – perhaps not enough knock ups here to get the fish used to bait?

We are looking at using more of Walton, probably the Desborough Cut as report are this is fishing well this year. That will be another 40-50 pegs.

Finally, Molesey up which produced the best weights last year, we are looking to a new access to avoid the route march upstream of Cherry Orchard. Again 40-50 pegs.

Tickets are now being sent out today – sorry to the early doors anglers who have waited patiently.

Currently, we are up to 24 paid up entrants that include a galaxy of stars that include both the last two year’s winners, Andy Love, Graham Dack, John Weeden and Simon Willsmore

According to Keith Arthur last Monday saw a cracking match at Molesey – I struggled for a bite yesterday evening when the light levels fell then had a roavh and dace. Perch of the previous visits were absent, Silk weed was a bit of a problem.

A pleasure angler had a double figure carp at Walton car park earlier
