TF_baitchefParticipantSorry to do this again but what can you recommend for big pellets on the pellet wag/lead/conker lines. Please don’t say Drennan or Preston because to be honest I’m fed up with them breaking. Its not just the elastics but the pouches keep going as well.
THERE HAS GOT TO BE SOMETHING DECENT OUT THERE…ARGHHHHHHH!!!! -

AnonymousI,ve been saying for a few years that catapults need a lot of development. Im still using the same design of catapults as 20 years go. I carry about 10 and have another 10 of different sizes but to be totally honest. None are up to the job. The 1st company the comes up with the next generation of catapults will make a lot of money.

TF_SLABMiddy 321.They have just changed the numbers 316(pink) 327 (green).I own two of each .You still have to change the elastics when using them for pellet wag of bomb, but they do last longer than most other brands.I have just changed the pink which lasted five matches easily of no stop use every 30 seconds or so.

TF_Mikey .J.I go through catapults for fun. Ive had about 10 this year already, and thats not including all the times ive changed all the elastics.
In my honest opinion you wont find one that’s decent.
Ive tried them all and theyre all abasolute ****
Whatever you buy it will break. Fact.

TF_top2I use the fox match boilie pults but change the pouch to a drennan one. Elastics are good on them but the pouches do wear after a bit.

TF_James_HI know how you feel.
I’ve been through the whole range of catapults, trying all different combinations…pouches, elastics, frames, and I always go back to the Drennan frame, with the blue Drennan elastic and the nylon pouch rather than the plastic pouch.
I did put red hydro through a Drennan catapult frame and glued the pouch on, it lasted much longer but eventually broke.
The new Daiwa catapults seem decent, but I’ve now broke 2 pouches…the elastic is too strong for the pouch.

TF_Bingo WingsParticipantWonder if one of these would work, not much to break just might take a bit longer to load it?

TF_nick_the_2ndThe problem with most catty is the elastic feeds out of the top and this is where they break at the bend, when using them with big pellets you need one where the elastic feed off of the pegs at a angle.
I know you said don’t mention Drennan but try the Feederpult, I have had these last well fishing the wag or bomb before the elastic breaks. I found they work better when shortening the elastic by a inch or so as it supplied quite long.

TF_baitchefParticipantI’ve used the feederpult and it lasted about 4 months before the elastic began to crack and split at the pegs. Good catty though

TF_wightanglersame problem with all cattys partic. laccy,
however, do you remember the old square thick solid laccy you used to get with older wag n’ mag ‘river’ models with flat pouches?Seemed to last much longer(laccy) or am i looking back to 1980’s with rose coloured glasses?
also saw these on Vespe site – the attachment looks less stressful than those lugs which the laccy usually goes on.
