Not fished the big lake for a while but it can be a bit moody, sometimes they have it and go mad, there was a massive weight on there last year one of the members had knocking 270lb if i remember right, other times 70lb is a good weight.

Theres some of the old fish still in there, big uns that look 12lb plus but there hollow and dont weigh that much,A few years ago Roy put a load of new fish in and they would probably be 2/3lb now.

Last peg on Gerrards bend is a flyer just watch your back for wheels e.t.c
The 2 pegs either side of the island can be flyers.

You will need a margin line thats where the munters usually turn up, you will more than likely see them before you chuck your nets in and its worth chucking a handfull of bait in at the start and having 10 mins on that before you do anything else, quite a few times ive put 40lb in the net in the first half hour then struggled for a couple of hours like everyone else, it can give you a good head start.

Feeder line, but be prepared not to catch on it, it just doesnt seem to work like it used to

Its shallow between 3 and 5 foot depending on the level

Theres a good head of skimmers too so dont disregard them
