I was fishing the elasticated method last week and wasted loads of time trying to get the 4″ link off the ring at the bottom of the laccy, ive looked at loads of links/swivels and they all have a ring at one end and clip at other????,just wondering how u lads get round this,i was thinking 1″ length of mono to the ring and quick change bead at other end,
        hope it makes sense????

Use a snap link swivel on your mainline to connect the method feeder then just have 3 or 4 method feeders with different hooklengths and change them over.

Try attaching a mini kwick link (I beleive Korda produce them) to the ring, or tie a normal kwick link to the elastic when you replace it, these make it easy to swap hook links. And allow the hook link more flexiblity as th loop can move instead of being fixed as it normally would be.

As Jack said. I now prefer to buy my methods non-elasticated, so I can then elesticate them myself but rather than a ring at the bottom, I cut the snap link off the swivol clip and attach just the snap link part onto the elastic by pushing it up the inside of the hollow elastic – the same way Andy Findley showed few months ago in Match Fishing magazine.

The reason I wanted a swivol clip on each method was mainly versatility, but I was also fed up of having to leave the hook length on the method after each match and it becoming damaged when put in the container full of other methods – if that makes sense.

Another way I’ve seen is a small Korda split ring attached to the normal ring on the of the elastic, then attach a snap link but it looks a little messy in my opinion.

As Jack said, a Korda Kwik Link is a good way of doing it or I’ll simply use Guru snap link swivels.
