Just come across a 3 piece split cane rod, a butt section and 2 top sections that convert into either a 10 foot rod, or a 7 foot one.
There are no markings on the butt to say the manufacturer but its a nice piece of work. Do you think its worth anything??

Nowhere near as much as your secret paste recipe.
Mind you, it didn’t have the staying power on Sunday. And off a total flyer as well.

obviously my flyer wasn’t as good as yours. Cant remember the last time 34 failed to frame…..you were like the cheshire cat when you pulled it out the bag. Even Mick clarke has won coin off it…..lol

too be honest without a name on it the rod is worth very little ,best thing if you intend too sell ,is take some good pictures .and put it on e-bay ,someone might recognise the model and push the price up a bit .

actually very few cane rods are valuable ,theres a hand full of Makers who’s rods sell for more ,but condition is king ,collectors require pristeen condition ,traditionalist ludites require good clean ,near pristeen condition ,but will consider buying a doo’er upp’er too restore before using.

10ft is a very usable length for cane coarse rods ,so they do tend too sell ok .on average between £10 – £30 + P&P

theres no garentee though ,as i recently brought a cane rod for £0.01p off e-bay

              Here

most cane rods are only suitable for propping up your runner beans
