Tunnel Barn farm Fishery matches and fishery form, Weekly Report ending 29th August 2010

With heavy rain late on in the week, all of the pools are now full. The fishing this week has been good despite the conditions, with 130lb caught in the mid week match. Pleasure anglers are also catching big weights. The best baits this week have been red or white maggot, corn and pellet. On a good day the fish will come up in the water.

        Top Pool
F1 carp, bream and roach on all pegs to pellet or corn. Some bigger carp on open ended feeder to the islands with dead maggot.

        Bottom Pool
As always, corn in the margins is catching a lot of big carp, with the best this week weighing in at 21lb. Lots of F1 carp and silverfish on pellet or maggot.

        House Pool
White maggot fished up in the water for f1 carp, bream, perch, roach and tench. Corn in the margins for common carp.

        House 2/Extension Pool
Pellet is best in the margins and up/down in the water. Pole feeder with maggot to the islands produced 115lb in Wednesdays match.

        New Pool
Maggot or pellet has been the best bait on this pool, fished at 8m or in the margins. Lots of f1 carp, bream, roach, perch, tench and chub on all pegs.

        Canal Pool
White maggot at 4-6m has been the best bait in this lake fishing up/down in the water, with golden rudd and skimmer bream, f1 & f2 carp, barbel, tench and roach all showing well on all pegs. Corn down the margins for some big bream and carp.

        Club Pool
Corn in the margins and pellet at 10m have been the best baits on this pool this week. F1 & f2 carp, bream, roach, barbel and tench all showing well fished on the bottom.
