Could anybody tell me if theMulti bore 4mm power kits are any good and what length are they compared to match top 3s.

think of them as a better version of the old power kits.
they are around 14 ins longer than a match kit with the number one removed.
i really like the versatility they give you.
to be able to swap just the number ones instead of having lots of topkits is a real bonus.
however lots of people who come on here will slag them off to high heaven, i suppose it’s like most things in life really just have the courage to make your own mind up.

I have cut mine right back to the same length as my match kits and use them for margin work with one of the short number 4`s,ideal for Larford etc,i had 140lb on the specy lake from down the side with fish upto 12 lb no problem during the summer, also 2 weeks ago i used one to win a Sat open at Cudmore with 80+ lb (down the edge) the fish were nowhere near as big though,i used a 14`s Latex set soft on a pulla bung. i think they are great and i feel in total control of what i am doing~clap.

most people would really benefit from giving daiwa a call regarding what these kits are supposed to be for
                ~think

i did and as soon as you know how it’s supposed to work the whole multi bore thing makes perfect sense.
all i’ll say is for goodness sake do not cut them!!

the way i understood it all i did was bought the number one and two multibore topkits.
they replace the number one and two in your match kits ( you can use those for fishing up in the water or winter etc at your leisure )
then instead of buying full topkits at £100
you simply have as many multibore number ones ( which are telescopic ) at £12 ready elasticated and bunged to change into the multibore two and match three section. they take around a minute to swap over.
they are around 14 ins longer than a matchkit with the number one removed.
they are not quite as stiff as a matchkit and some people don’t like them however most people either have’nt used them or don’t understand what they are supposed to be for.
i have six of them with ten or twelve different number ones.
i also have a few matchkits for up in the water fishing as the multibores are not as stiff for slapping tapping etc.
i don’t own any big bore power kits or power kits any more as imo the multibores are better.
think of them as a really good way cheaper powerkit.
are they as good as a match kit no.
are they the be all and end all no.
                      are they crap?
best to make your own mind up.
