i used my maver reactorlite 10ft 6ins for the shorter chuck
and my reactorlite 12 ft for the islands a bit further out.
          both are fantastic rods~clap

The ABU Suveran multi length tip rod was popular there as it had a through action but it also had a bit of grunt and could manage the munters that liked to swim behind the islands!! As for length, well how far can you catapult a pellet? Also how often are you likely to use it? If its only occasionally i would opt for the budget end of the market.

i use a 10ft Middy ‘THE WORKS’ BAGGIN FEEDER and have had fish to double figures on it. I paid £32.99 for it. I also have a 11ft DRENNAN SERIES 7 CARP FEEDER setup as a 2nd rod for those slightly longer chucks.

Pays your money, takes your choice. Dad and I were there last month and he preferred a shorter 11′ rod. Meanwhile I, having dabbled with an 11′ rod, felt more comfortable using something with a bit more backbone (I settled for a 13′ Daiwa Connoiseur).
