I have been approached for support by one of the owners (no relation before anyone dives in) with regard to an application for a new 114 peg fishery in Cheshire / South Wirral that is going through the planning stage and requires all the support they can get from local anglers.

I have added the temporary web address http://www.cof.me.uk or http://www.cheshireoaksfisheries.co.uk for more details.

The main issue appears to be its green belt and difficult to get the council permissions. You would think a fishery must tick most of the environmental boxes required but apparently not! All help appreciated from votes and comments on the website to letters to local councillors.

Looks the part from the artist impressions and is ceratinly looking to do it right even down to straw bale eco-construction on the cafe, clubhouse, toilets accommodation etc

I can’t see your two local tackle shops jumping for joy at the prospect of on site opposition.

i came across the web site the other week when i was searching through local fisheries and first impressions sound good.the lake layout looks good creating a lot of corner pegs.i dont understand why there could be a problem with the planning permission(not a big enough backhander!) after all most farm lands are green belt and how many of them have converted some land over the years. im 50/50 for a yes vote with the only draw back being how much she can spend shopping in 6hrs~think
