        I’ve got a match at Messingham on Island Lake on Sunday. Has anyone fished it recently? Any info on pegs and methods? I am assuming it will be a standard straight lead/ wag and pellet job, with pole for skimmers if you draw off the carp?

            Yes i was there on sunday and it fished hard 100+ won but that was the only weight jamie wilde had that off 46 i think i am there again this weekend on sunday as well and will be going for the skimmers and have the odd look for carp i drew peg 35 almost ran to my peg to be greeted with a head knocker fished bomb/ method still junk it was like getting a date with kelly brooke only to find that she was on !!

              Thanks for this – useful info. Sounds like it might be a skimmer match? How do you go about catching the skimmers? I have always fished 100% for carp when I have gone to Messingham previously.
