      TF_Nigel.

        I have had a bounced chq in the UK Champs this year, and the bank wont tell me the address of said person.
        I need to send it onto a lawyer or debt collector, or do you have any other idea how i can find out the anglers name?
        The bank is Barclay’s in Stourbridge, i asked all the anglers but no-one has owned up, but its annoying me as i am £190 short!~think

          daft question but have you checked entrants addresses?

          either some one’s mrs or mom?

          looked on face book nowt there mate! (not from that area anyway)

            Nigel…..Sorry to hear that mate.If its any consolation,i have about 20 bouncing cheques a year but i always get paid.If you need help at the end of day getting paid pm me…..MTB.

              Yes thanks, that the first thing i did, but the chq came back to a week or so later, and i hadn’t written the anglers name on it!

              Thanks Mick, I have all the anglers addresses, but i don’t know the address of miss L Wooldridge, i have treid 192.com too.

              I have mailed a lawyer that specialises in bounced chqs, but don’t know if he can help without the address!

                  This is a very sad story as Nigel works very hard to organise the UK Champs and from what I have heard he does a damn good job.

                  However, someone who has entered the competition has not only ripped him off for £190 but also doesn’t have the balls to own up and pay the money.

                  Whoever you are, get it sorted.

                    Thanks for all the calls and tx in the last hour, we have it sorted!
                    The said angler cancelled just before the event, and didn’t actually fish!

                    So it least we know it wasent an angler that won money!

                        So are you telling us you refunded someone who’s cheque didn’t even get cleared at the bank before you knew or that they cancelled the cheque and took your money?~think

                            Yes, it appears he asked for a refund at the same time as the chq bounced, and i didn’t get the bounced one back till a week later.

                            And with 80 anglers, i hadn’t realised it was one that had dropped out that had bounced a chq on me!
