It was actually John Pearson who came second.

My thanks and Johns go to Dave Smith for organising a great day out. It looks like it’s going to be an annual event so with luck we’ll be there again next year and I’ll get my act together next time!

Well done to Swainy. I reckon you could’ve broke the ton if you’d used proper elastic.

Thanks to all who participated on saturday, you all helped to make a great event in honour of an angling legend. I will be taking Jeffs wife to select a bench, plaque and planters for the memorial garden near the meridian canal. Each year the winner will receive the trophy in the Jeff Moors memorial garden, and when it’s not being used for presentations the garden will provide a permanent reminder of Jeff, who was so instrumental in creating the fishery that Border is today. Once again thanks to all who fished, donated prizes or ran collections, I look forward to seeing you all next year. Oh and Swainy, great job mate, well done also Gibbo and John P for winning their respective lakes., your efforts made the day and kept us all guessing where the winner would come from.
