TF_welshmagicahhh that is the main lake. I’ve not known them have matches on there so info might be a bit sparse. That’s where they have the Carp Champs etc so it sees stacks of boilies etc. Hopefully someone will know a bit more but I’ve not actually fished that lake myself

TF_Selfeyyou sure there is a match there Sunday as I checked with Chip the baliff and nothing was booked…We have a match on the running track.
Our lads have been on the main lake for the last 2 weeks skimmers are showing to feeder and plenty of roach on the pole. -

TF_mp.miloDan we had a couple of rounds of AVSL on there,Tommy won the last one on the method 4 carp and couple of smaller fish 65lb.
You wont go far wrong with wag and mag, feeding maggots and a few 4mm pellets, your looking for skimmers and roach.
If you get bitten off,up your hooklength, its eels.
I had 2 on the last round about 11/2lb apiece so they are worth landing.Take your wellies/waders have to get in the water on some pegs.

TF_SelfeyDan set your rigs top 4 to be safe you can always cut them down. You will need waders as most swims you want to get in the water.
The feeder will catch skimmers and then its the wag and mag or pole for the roach.
The method does sometimes work but its a win or bust way.
There are lots of pike i have had fish taken the last few times Ive been there. Its also start of the pike season on our winter league match day!
If you are coming down to practice Sun get there early get off the M27 (Sailsbury)after you go past the lake. There is a McDonalds if you go to the right about a mile up the slip road Sailsbury direction. Then to get to the lake back over the motorway 1st slip rd off and then 2nd left opposite a shed making workshop the lake is down on the right just before the motorway bridge.
The roach do come shallow but theres been a lot of rain today so who knows….
Hope this helps -

TF_allyParticipantIf the weather holds every method from a 3m whip to a 60m chuck on a feeder will work. It will depend on the peg you draw. In a team match you wont go to wrong on the wag for the roach but bream will win individually. Groundbait mix doesnt matter to much but it can be a bit hit or miss for the roach. Some days you can get roach bites quicker on the pellet than the maggot.
