MAKIN’S WINTER LEAGUE LATEST

  I’ve been asked to post the following information….
  
  Makin’s Winter leagues, both teams of 12 and teams of 3 are definately ON as normal.
  
  The location, time etc for the draw is yet to be finalised, as the Axe and Compass have yet to confirm their participation.
  
  The first round teams of 12 is next week 3rd October.
  
  1, You can enter a team in either or both leagues,
  
  2, you can put your name down to join a current team (extra team members are often required)
  
  3, or you can register you details as a reserve angler to fill in as and when.
  
  Anyone who wishes to fish or enter a team, needs to contact one of the following numbers and register.

  Does anyone know if Mark is putting two teams in still or is he taking a back seat altogether this year?

  Generally opinion is that he’s not interested in opening up, you know how he maons a bit if he doesn’t sell enough breakfasts…
  
  The other possible options being investigated are Makins Fishery in the large marquee tent or the Bull Pub in Wolvey, i’ll post as soon as I get the definative answer

  Steve, I’m fairly sure that Mark is still entering three teams as normal, coz he phoned me and Jase on Saturday morn.
  
  Whether he will continue throughout the league or hand over to the captains from each team or Andy Allen, who knows at this stage.

  Personally I wouldn’t entertain him at the Axe.
  
  I’d go for the marquee option. Had a brekky at the Bull once, was like at starter for a proper breakfast!!!
  
  I believe there’ll only be 9 or 10 teams this year. with a bit of luck that’ll mean no Lake 1 or Severn pool in.
  
  Been on Lake 2 today, had 8 carp, 4 of them the newly stocked carp. perhaps go 2 lb between them. might be glad of them in a few weeks. I think the winter fishing bingo has started early this year!!! lol

  Andy, I’m pretty sure that lake 1 won’t be in, that’s what Allan told me last week prior to this “is it on …. is it off” senario.
  
  Not sure about Severn, i’ll see if I can find out and post soon as.

  Just had final conformation from Allan McDiamid
  
  Makins leagues are being drawn at The Axe & Compass as normal
  
  That is breakfast from approx 7am, be nice and early for the first match as lots of monies to collect etc etc

  mark perkins just called me matchman supplies looking for some one to fish in this team for the 12s and is looking for 2 fill ins for this weekend any body interested contact andy on the above post number please
