          Draw is 9am with fishing from 10.30 – 4.30.

All 10 teams are now full with a fine selection of anglers.

Really looking forward to it and think we should have some decent fishing with the lakes we are using. It will be interesting to see how New Lake fishes.

Thankyou Dave, Cod borrowed my top kit and a lump of paste last Sunday. Fished behind into the New lake, I was on Old peg 1. He had 3 carp to a 1ib – 2ib in three casts without feeding anything other than the paste. Gave up after 2 more.. Could be as they say, that you will need to bait up behind a bush… The fish are in good nick and I think at the mo, whoever is on that lake will have a few bites… See you Sunday Dave..

Sunday 19th 119ib, 105ib, 97ib, 1st and 3rd on the method. A 80ib and a couple of 50s backups. Method is dominating at the moment, but now its getting cooler it should die off a bit.. And hopefully have a few on the pole..

Top lake still the same Brian, just a bit brighter, windier and colder now the trees have been thinned out again. lol

I knew that picture would keep you all guessing, lol. Be careful what you say about my team captain for Sunday!!!!. You can also see poor old Bubs in peg 20 who managed to fish after borrowing enough gear for the day, some scum bags had pinched his gear during the night.~naughty

Please remember that EVERYBODY fishing New Lake MUST have 3 keep nets and split the fish evenly between the nets. That’s the only way that we were allowed to use the lake, else we would have been on Horseshoe or Cherry Tree.

Please let your team members know.

3 nets in a winter league! Wow takes me back to the days, when we broke ice and not bothered the scalesman, and tipped backed 40-50ib The new lake might bring that those days in the depths of winter If we look after it…

The net dip has been there since early spring (on the right as you drive in), have only ever seen the day tickets use it, not seen one of the match blokes who fish the opens use it yet!!!!!, I did notice Cranleigh club all dipped their nets last Sunday. As I see it the the 3 nets and dipping on Sunday is aimed mainly for New Lake, not sure how that will help because the blokes on Old won’t bother and with the rain forecast Old could be flowing into New lake by then?????.

not telling any one on what to do or suck eggs…but dipping nets has been proved to be a waste of time…uv light seems to be the way forward, been to loads of fisherys and most of them now ask for nets to be aired and staked out behind the peg so the nets get a good dose of sunlight, then about 10-15mins before the all in ..you can put you’re nets in…the glebe run by roy marlow is a classic example.

Quite true, but would not be easy to enforce when you have people spread over an x amount of lakes, I know you could say all should check the guy next to you but would that work???, would also help if people dried their nets out between outings – have seen many get dripping wet nets out of their waterproof net bags
