TF_PikeyWhy would you want to leave it out – the only chance that the majority of the field had of beating the Dorking anglers was to draw a peg like that.
I used to run the Surrey Winter league so know it isn’t always won from that peg.
It is a fishing match where an element of the match is the draw – one thing that winds me up about the pegging in some matches is when the organisors leave out the fliers, as all it does is make another peg the flier.

who would want to fish a WL where your only chance of beating a competitor would be drawing a flyer?
I know my limitations and would fish a WL that suited it. -

TF_PikeyYorkshire – They don’t, that is why there are only 6 teams in the league and 2 of them are shop teams just really fishing to make up the numbers so that 2 teams still qualify for the Semi final.
It is all well and good knowing your limitations but there isn’t always a “suitable” Winter Lague available in your area.

TF_allyParticipantI have to agree with Pikey about leaving fliers in, I think the thought you may draw the good peg will help to keep people turning up . The league I fish also has the Nav as a venue, and that peg does not always win the section, let alone the match. In fact the peg down from blackboys, by the rail bridge is much more consistant and would be my prefered draw.
