        hi guys,

when fishing big baita IE meat big pellets shallow which floats do you use that wont be dragged under by the weight of a big bait.

would you undershot the float or use a big float.

again when fishing on the deck sometimes i like to come off the botom and fish 6 inch to a foot of bottom but with bigger baits this would drag the float under when using a normal say kc chimp in 4×12 4×14 what float would you chaps use would you under shot the float so the floats sits right with the weight of the bait, or use a different float

this is for pole fishing on commys for carp

thanks not sure what to do

If you chop your meat with a cutter and the pieces are of uniform size it would be a process of elimination finding the perfect weight float for the weight of the baits.

which floats would you suggest for

            1 shallow

            2 deep shallow

            3 just off bottom 6 / 12 inch

            using above baits

            thanks

For fishing any heavy bait off the bottom you will have to take into consideration the weight of the bait to get the float sitting right. For deep shallow I would tend to use a 1.7-2mm tipped float with a hollow plastic bristle. I use my own glass stemmed Decker float but there are many more you can choose from.

I designed the large XTD for fishing big pellet or any big bait shallow.

                hi nick,

have seen your floats and stoared them under my favourites some time back.

sorry to go on but when fishing big baits just off the bottom what would be a good float that is capable of holding a big bait off bottom but still sensative.

eg i use chimps alot for fishing on the deck usually a 4×12 4×14 depending on conditions.

whats a good float and the best bristle to use and whats the minimum float capacity you would use agaian 6 inch to 12 inch off bottom

If you talking about baits like 8mm hard pellet the float I use is a glass stemmed Decker with a 1.7mm hollow tip, 0.2-0.4 should see you OK in depths up to 6-7 foot.
