i use multiple overhand knots dependant on the thickness of elastic used.
whichever knot or different bead you use make sure its big enough to never go through the bead!
we dont need fish towing that lot around do we ~think

learnt the hard way that the knot can pull through easily when I hooked a double figure carp on double 5, when it decided to run…ping!!

For thinner elastics I just attach a small swivel and pull that into the orange thing. Or use a connector instead of the orange thing, for thicker elastics it doesn’t matter what knot you use long as it ends up big.

Personally I dont like the beads and bin them in favour of a Nash TT 5mm bead. It’s neater and less obtrusive. I tie mine in the same way you would tie a crows foot

                  chuck them in the bin!!

I use 8mm rubber beads, I simply thread the elastic through the bead, double the elastic over and do an over hand knot. Pull down towards the bead tightly and it’s done but remember to moisten the knot before you tighten it.
