I wasn’t overly impressed by City today. The standard across the board is getting worse this season.

3 pts and a possible goal of the season ….. nuff said.

Both United and Liverpool are in serious trouble end of .The Rooney / Ferguson feud may well be the straw that breaks the camels back ? We will see.

If I was a United fan more than anything I’d be worried about the financials. Rather than gloating over what’s gone on at Anfield I’d be worrying about, “there but for the Grace of God go we”.

City and Chelsea have different worries. As playthings of the super rich you have to understand these people can get bored very quickly.

Highlight of the sporting year to date is HRA’s succes with Frankel.

I really hope he trains on and wins the Guineas, there aren’t many people I don’t know but care about but Henry is a hero of mine.

I was more gutted by Cheltenham, trying to work out which of the Elliot/Carberry double acts was the ‘ONE’. As it turned I couldn’t and there were 2! Elliot will break his Festival duck next year.

Herbie, are you a regular at Old Trafford? A couple of my mates are and they say that they cannot remember a time when it has been easier to get tickets, with most matches barely selling out. A few years ago, you couldn’t get hold of a ticket for love nor money.

The problem with LBOs is that, unless you have a secondary buyout before too long, the operating cash flow is swamped by the interest roll-up on the high yielding debt in the capital structure. That’s why these clubs are only just hitting the wall now, several years after the original buyout.

gary there,s always been spare tickets its just finding then thats hard. the fact that the glaziers have been allowed to rape our country,s top club is something of a disgrace. same applies to liverpool who in my opinion are a close second to united . this needs addressing urgently. both teams will survive these theives because there as ive said built on concrete. however the toy boy clubs such as city, chelski,Qpr are on very thin ice should something happen to there masters. city pay 30 million out in wages more that they earn not healthy. do you think his heirs would want to continue ~think should something happen~think somehow i doubt that.
also how much longer do you think real madrid and barca will allow rich arabs to dominate the transfer market before they go to blatter who is in there pocket for urgent change.

dodger shreik will rot at gold trafford for a while yet before taggert sells him to A C milan. no one has ever been bigger than united just ask the best family.

Dodge you have to admit City got huge slices of luck v Blackpool and the victory was daylight robbery. I thought Adam was the best player on the pitch and City looked very fragile down the right hand side.

All the Sky whores. Man U,Chelski,Kopites and Man C are skating on thin ice.
If the money goes out of the game you will all come down like a house of cards, the only way forward is a wage cap aka rugby league.
This will level the playing field and stop clubs selling their souls to the highest bidder.
Great win by the blues on Sunday, worst Liverpool team i have ever seen. Hodgson makes Souness look like a tactical genius.

Blackpool are a breath of fresh air to the premiership ,good luck to them , they play good attacking football, they are wide open at the back though which will get exposed time and time again at this level , think city hit the woodwork 3 times aswell as score 3 goals ! City are playing a system that makes us very difficult to beat , physically very strong. When Mario Balotelli is fit ( next week hopefully) bobby manc will have an option to play 2 up front and change the current system slightly. At the end of the day its all about 3pts whether you win 1-0 or 5-4 ….. Plenty of sides will come unstuck @ bloomfield rd.

PS Tevez was the best player on the pitch by a country mile.

Not a chance 😉 Adam owned that game. I think reverting to 1 up front worked well for City. Certainly bringing Silva on who looks a very gifted player. Johnson is a weak link IMO defensively and the sheer size of the City defenders means they have to be slow.

Was Holloway right Dodge re Blackpool being hard done to?

Dodge, they played two up front on Sunday, didn’t they (Tevez and Adebayor)? Agree thought that City will be there or there abouts in the top 4 and challenging for honours this season.

herbie, my point is that demand for tickets is falling, which makes the ‘concrete foudnation’ of significant support on which the club is built appear ever more exposed to subsidence…

If adam is a better player than tevez then you need to visit specsavers gary.

Dont care one bit about Holloway (top bloke) the game has gone.

No idea how Utd will fare. The start of the season is traditionally slow but we look off the pace and are leaking goals so what should be a hard fought win could be anything but. It will be interesting to see how the Rooney saga develops. Players like Cantona would return even better from such drama. Rooney?

Rio Ferdinand is reportedly Uniteds highest wage earner on £130.000 a week ! Gareth Barry at City earns a lot more than Steve Gerrard does at Liverpool a week ….. United under the glazers cant sustain the wage bills of City and Chelsea , maybe that is why Rooneys new contract negotiations have broken down ? i dont know tbh but Rooney is still young and will be looking for the VERY BEST DEAL possible i imagine ?

Why would they want to come to a place with no money and a very average team. We haven’t signed a world class player for years now, everyone deal we’ve tried to do as fallen apart or they’ve gone else where.

Your saying Rooney is overated now ay, are you the same fans that were blowing that much smoke up his arse 6/7 months ago it was coming out of his ears. Are you saying that as an England fan?? Yeah he’s had an awful 6 months but that will come back, with time. With Rooney on form we are a top 2 club, as has been proven.

You keep talking about Youth, yeah they won the reserve team league last year but they aren’t good enough for the premiership, the sooner you realise that the better. Next you’ll be telling me Welbeck and Mecheda are going to be getting us 30 goals next season.

Is the Man U youth development system poor? I would presume/hope not but great players are by and large AN.OTHERS before they emerge. They have to discovered. What is without doubt is that great players will always exist, nobody is irreplaceable etc.

Sir Alex contradicts you re Man U salaries. Who is correct Sir Alex or Mark? Personally I would think salaries at Man U compare with most elite clubs bar a couple. I am not convinced Man U can pay huge transfer fees hence why I would expect the scouting / youth development system to be working over time and be as good as it can be.

Not many, most come from abroad and thats shows with the our National team.

The youth development at United is excellent as it as always been but they still aren’t good enough, just like most teams youth squads.

I never mention about other players salaries all i said was i didn’t think the Rooney situation was about money and well i’m still not totally convinced. Our salaries bill is around the 3rd or 4th in the Prem and i agree we can’t pay big tranfer fees, where as the Ronaldo money gone?? The money we get from Rooney if we get any will go the same place and once AGAIN we will be lied to about it.

Someone answer me this question: how much has Malcolm Glazer made out of Man Utd so far, and what return on his investment does that represent?

It’s called football not tackling. Tackling still exists just not so much in topflight football, the lower you get the more physical it gets. As i’ve said it’s ten times faster now, making it harder to get stuck in like they use to in the days of Bremner & Hunter.

Ask anybody who has played pro level and they will tell you the game is a lot cleaner and softer. Speed I can see why you would say that but whilst the ball is moved fast over short distances the fact the game is more controlled and measured means it has slowed down overall with less ‘aerial tennis’ The players themselves are by and large faster, some far faster.

As somebody that played / watches both football and rugby league I am embarassed by how a RL player can be hit by the force of a small car and get up as if nothing happened yet a footballer can be tripped up and roll as if he has been shot and be taken off.

Ironic how you argue that young players cannot play football at a young age yet I see 16, 17, 18 year olds playing the highest level of rugby.
