Don’t know how many of you managed to go to the Tackle & Guns Show over the two days…

I managed to hobble about on crutches yesterday after falling down some stairs on Friday!!!

If you were to ask me what my favourite new item from the show was, it came from MAP in the shape of its new modular luggage, in particular the carryall which is big enough for all those trays and nets and folds out flat to reveal compartments for pole rollers, bait, reels and other items.

They also had a new quick change connector that was getting plenty of interest.

I was filming for OnlineFishing.tv and should have some videos up pretty quickly.

Pic: Caption: Mike Robinson with the new modular carryall from MAP that caught Gareth’s eye at the Tackle & Guns Show on Monday.

Went on Sunday and thought the show was really good, especially liked the new Team Daiwa Reel (not sure about the new logo…) and I think their new clothing range will sell bucket loads in particular the soft shell fleece.

The Marukyu stand was awesome, I’m not sure what fish smell but a whiff of the krilled maggots made me want to get on the bank!

What never ceases to amaze me is how nice the pro anglers are that were there. I know its their job but they made time to chat and give tips, they are a real credit to our sport.

yes mate managed to go yesterday one or two items caught my eye the maps method mould was a simple answer to sticky method mix
i also thought the browning stand was very good
a couple more that caught my eye Andy fins new G/B and feeders
marukyu stand smelt nice one question i would of like to of asked
has anyone used this marukyu on rivers as a method of balling in [like standard G/B]
as it has no fishmeal in it so every species should like it but from the feed back I’ve heard its mainly a carp bait roy had gone missing at this point ~think
colmic boxes looked the dogs very well made
preston goes without saying but also the energy of the middy family and still manufacturers of all there tackle and yes in the UK top marks for that
plus the turn out for the trade show showed angling is still a top sport ~clap

Hi fella – I honestly ran out of time, it was a case of walk (well hooble) five paces and another ten minute conversation – you have a PM…
