Report:
The Thursday KOBRA Open on Dynamite Makins Snake was fished in bitterly cold and dull conditions when everyone struggled to get bites.

Attleborough Sports angler Mick Martin on hot peg 7 found 7 carp and 6 lb of silver fish for 31 lb 12 oz and a clear win, catching on method feeder and then pole and pellet.

Ian Morris (Rugby) took second with 7 carp for 24 lb 12 oz taken on method feeder and then pole and pellet from peg, with Long Eaton’s John Adamson (Kobra Feeders) in third with 23 lb 8 oz from peg 19 (3 carp on feeder and then three on pole and corn).

Next week’s Thursday Kobra Open will be on Dynamite Makins Avon (Phase 3), 9.15am draw.

Report:
The still, clear conditions and light NE wind had a detrimental affect on sport on Lake Two (Dynamite Makins) for the Wednesday Kobra Open, with only three of the competitors having ‘indications’ throughout the match and the rest struggling for bites.

Jason Shirley (Bailey’s of Warwick) drew A4 for the second successive match and showed he had leaned from his previous experience by taking an impressive 142 lb 10 oz of carp. Jason started on method feeder to land 6 fish and then switched to pellet waggler for the remainder of the match. (Photograph of Jason with 50 lbs of his catch attached)

Chris Harrison (Bailey’s of Warwick) took second from B17 fishing pellet on straight bomb, Dave Kent (Long Eaton Victoria AS) was third with 63 lb from peg B2, catching on bomb and pellet and then pole and meat from the margins.
