Excellent weights in the cold at Sherwood Forest Fishery

Another very cold start to the match but despite that the lake fished very well, Subfish backed Greg Cooper topping the list with 109lb 6oz, fishing the method feeder with meat and corn cast tight to the lily pads at peg 25 he landed 26 carp – 9lb. 2nd place went to fishery regular John Woodland drawn at peg 22 he fished the pole and pellet loose feeding pellets with the catapult at 13m for 22 carp – 5lb in his 85lb 6oz net.

It looked like bites would be hard to come by on this very cold and frosty morning but it turned out to be another good match with only two anglers not using the scales. In top spot Mick Langton drew peg 5 in the sunshine and fished the pole and pellet at 11m feeding pellets over the top with the catty landing 20 carp the biggest being 9lb 4oz in his total of 89lb 4oz. Lee Parker fished the method feeder and pellet cast tight to the lily pads for 16 carp – 7lb in his haul of 74lb 2oz.
