I believe England won the silver and Emma Pickering just missed an individual medal..

Spain won gold and Italy bronze which everyone was delighted with after their car crash earlier in the week.

Yippee! Silver medal for us after a week of hard work. Photos and results available here; http://www.matchangler.co.za/wmenu.php

I will be writing about the week for Match Fishing magazine as well.

So pleased for the Italians – how they managed to fish with broken limbs was beyond me.

Looks a fabulous venue. Amazing how Italy did so well. What a tough and talented group of ladies.

First time I’ve had a hippo as a far bank marker in a match….!

The venue did fish hard though as 50k-70k were the predicted 3hr match weights. Even the South Africans were disappointed with how it fished.

Italy were amazing, although the fact that it turned into more of a waggler match than expected helped as it’s difficult to fish the pole with a broken arm!~clap ~clap ~clap

I would have been great if Italy had won the Gold with all their troubles.
