        Daiwa Hallcroft reports to November 8th, 2010

        There’s a definite chill in the air!! Have had a very busy week as we’ve just taken over the tackle shop on site and Luke (youngest son) & Claire (partner) are in Florida swimming with the dolphins so we are a bit shorthanded!! Also had a food & fireworks do last night.

        Daiwa Hallcroft Veterans Winter League Round 6 (Thursday)
        Moat (36 pegs)
        1B Sullivan, Maltby, 39-0-0; peg island 39
        Brian Sullivan, today’s veteran winner, had a nice net of small carp and skimmers caught on the pole at 11m using pellet and corn
        2 B Perkins, Retford, 33-10-0; peg island 41
        Second spot went to Barry Perkins who landed a few decent sized carp on pole and expander pellet
        3 D Lane, Retford, 29-6-0; peg island 61
        Dave Lane finished third with small carp and bream taken at 6m on corn over micro pellet
        4 R Toulson, Nottingham, 26-12-0 and A Payling, Peg One, 26-12-0

        Canal (10 pegs)
        1B Sullivan, Maltby, 56-12-0; peg 3
        Brian Sullivan won this Canal match by a small margin with 56-12-0 of small carp to 2lb taken on pole and pellet at 11m
        2 D Oldham, Daiwa Hallcroft, 53-14-0; peg 5
        Daz Oldham was just a couple of pounds adrift with 53-14-0 of small carp also taken on pellet
        3 R Teigh, Handsworth, 36-2-0; peg 11
        Rich Teigh caught carp and skimmers for 36-2-0

        Daiwa Hallcroft Carp/Silver Match (Saturday)
        Moat (30 pegs)
        1 S Clark, Mansfield Sensas, 44-9-0; peg island 73
        This annual Bonfire night carp/silver match was a fairly close one. Steve Clark ran out the overall winner with 44-9-0 of mostly carp taken on pole and pellet at 12.5m. He added the odd carp on the waggler late on
        2 G Gibson, Worksop, 30-2-0; peg outer 33
        Gordon Gibson also fished pole and pellet for carp and silvers
        3 D Oldham, Daiwa Hallcroft, 29-5-0; peg outer 44
        Close behind was Daz Oldham who caught all silverfish
        4 P Bagshaw, Barnsley Blacks, 28-13-0; 5 W Lomas, MAP Leegem, 28-12-0; 6 K Cresswell, Tuxford WMC, 28-11-0
        Carp :
        1 S Clark, 43-5-0
        2 K Cresswell, 27-1-0
        Silverfish :
        1 D Oldham, 29-5-0
        2 D Whiting, 19-0-0

        1 A Oldham, Maver, 92-13-0; peg outer 26
        After an overnight frost bites were hard to come by. Andy Oldham fished pole and pellet at 11 and 12m for mostly carp in his winning net
        2 L Coupe, MAP Leegem, 50-8-0; peg island 2
        Lee Coupe was second catching carp long down the edge with pellet
        3 M Thorpe, MAP Leegem, 50-0-0; peg outer 30
        Third was Mark Thorpe who also fished pellet for carp
        4 J Whitehead, Maver, 29-10-0; 5 D Oldham, Daiwa Hallcroft, 29-2-0; 6 S Clark, Mansfield Sensas, 28-12-0
