Weather conditions have made fishing very challenging at Ravensthorpe this week. Cats whisker or minkie fished slow and deep remain the best tactics.
Anglers are reminded that the Brown season ended on 29 October.
Please note that boats are not available at Ravensthorpe Monday to Friday but some boats will be available on the weekend of 20 and 21 November. Booking and pre paying is essential please call the fishing lodge at Pitsford on 01604 781350. Bank angling continues to 31 December.

Ravensthorpe Reservoir to November 8th, 2010

Anglers at Ravensthorpe enjoyed a fantastic Fur and Feather match on Sunday with a rod average of 4.42. 26 anglers caught 115 fish weighing 240lb. Top spot went to Richard and Karen Slater with 12 Rainbows coming to their boat for 27lb 8oz. Mark Haycock and Graham Pearson took second place with 12 fish for 26lb 3oz. Third place went to G McCloud and M Willatt with 12 fish for 25lb 10oz. Steve Brooks and Ashley Davies took fourth place with 12 fish for 25lb 6oz. Ashley also claimed the best fish prize with a Rainbow of 3lb 2oz. This was a terrific closely fought match thoroughly enjoyed by all. Following the prize giving everyone enjoyed a meal at the Chequers pub – a great way to end the day.
