Float making epoxy resin

  just out of interest – what type of epoxy resin are all you float makers using.
  The 5 minute stuff I’ve tried is good but goes off way to quickly – I’m forever mixing new batches every er – 5 minutes – half way through a job – very frustrating.

  I used to use standard 2 tube epoxy, but now use superglue
  
  once you get the technique for positioning your compnents smoothly & quickly, it’s a breeze

  Dave – have you ever thought about a hot melt glue gun with super glue sticks??

  Arldite Precision is workable for a good 1-2 hours depending on the temperature.

  Kev, I think if I couldn’t get to grips with the superglue technique I probably would go the glue gun way

  Pikey – I don’t know thats why I was asking but I assumed superglue was quite brittle as opposed to epoxy resin that should have an element of flex in it

  if using superglue I tend to use the waterproof superglue

  water wont go anywhere near the superglue, if its sealed properly!! ~clap
