Fished it once in summer and it was all method feeder tight across. On some pegs, not many, you can find a bit of a ledge to drop on and these tend to win the matches. I had a corner which yielded not a single bite. It is quite deep 8-10 foot and I imagine tactics this tme of year will be to fish down the track but I cant comment as I have not fished it in these conditions. I did catch down the track on our match but they were small 1lb stockies, all the lumps were on the island bars.I would set up method with micros and maggot along with a pole deck rig with pellet meat or corn feeding very little.
Most of the other lakes here have a good head of silvers and ide which you can target with maggot but long island seems to be carp only.

I fished pole at 6m & 13m with pellet & took a good string of F1’s but not enough

put a full pot of corn at 14m and keep having a look over it m8

Pole and pellet over micro’s at 13-14.5m waggler and maggot about 1m off island in deeper water. Or if your brave sit on a small method about 1m off island as they might turn up at some point if you keep at it. Maggot feeder worth a look now its cooling down. Rushes down banks which aren’t pegged at either end of island worth a chuck as carp sometimes sit in them.

But Gary nobody caught on the pole last sunday on our bank, waggler is worth a try wind permitting.

Looking at the replys on this thread, seems you have to get really tight to the island ont maggot feeder, so what id do is put a big pot of corn in at 14.5 metre and keep having a look on it! ~clap
