Moira canal @ the furnace – hows it fishing?

  Hello all
  I have a match near the furnace in a couple of weeks.
  I have fished the other end a few times and tench seem to dominate. It is the same up the other end or is it roach and skimmers.
  My question is do I need to tackle it more like a canal.

  Mainly Roach and Skimmers at that end, bread and caster and red maggot the hobbies. Worm and joker been in tho

  Was thinking of the worm and joker, but will we get the smaller fish on that.

  Should have said jobbies ( predictive text) joker didn’t work on practice for west mids winter league but its the round this week so will let you know

  If you go past firestation( station on right) turn right at island then the canal runs along road on right. When you turn right at island the first pegs you come to are 68, there are then various access points. Don’t know how many pegs you need but I would start at peg 28

  Their will be 18/20 of us I was going to start pegging 68 back on the road side, will this be better??
