OK AFTER tonites tightlines surely bread should be on the agenda of conversation with the new management team ,as it clearly shows a positive bait attack in this present cold climate on the hook only either punched bread or liqqy whats your thoughts boys ~think ~think just maybe the bait will unlock the full potential of this wonderful sites fish stocks~clap ~clap ~clap ps NOT FLOATING ON THE SURFACE ~naughty ~naughty ~naughty

Brian as far as I know its only floating bread what’s banned at Willy. Do you remember when I picked up on a couple of matches using liqqy with fishmeal cupped in loose. And when the lakes went clear, by adding a little molesoil still did okay. “taken from my canal day’s lol” have thought about doing it again. Not cupped in, the lakes I think are to deep for that now. Thought about popped up though, I think that will work. Liggy in a small bait dropper might be a option done that in the past.. I need to watch tight lines now. To see what you was on about lol…

Dave I didn’t know that, I thought it was just floating baits. Okay Brian I agree bread does no harm fished in that way. I have fed two loaves of liggy on a canal and stopped catching when I ran out. Can’t see on lakes stuffed with carp, chub skimmers and some roach would be a bad thing. Dave I had a bag of the the stuff the other day. I did not use it though “glad I didn’t lol” Can’t be worse than a load of catmeat going in. Or 20 tins of corn being chucked in after a match.. plus everything else. TAKE IT HOME…

Delbert – there was a great big notice board on the front of the cabin with the rules on and in letters about three foot high it said NO BREAD.

The reason for the original ban was that some pleasure anglers were fishing floating bread and feeding 20 loaves.

YES DAVE THE OLD MANAGEMENT STOOD ON THE BALCONY AND WATCHED TWO ANGLERS ON NEW LAKE FISH AND FEED THIS AMOUNT AND THEN DECIDE TO BAN FLOATING BAITS POOR DECISION IMO AS THEY COULDNT BE BOTHERED TO WALK 45 YARDS AND SAY NO MORE FEEDING ~naughty ~naughty ~naughty

The anglers in question did it for at least 4 weeks in a row and other anglers started to copy.

If you allow bread for the hook and liquidized bread for feed. I might even fish a few of your matches on Willinghurst. From the little i know of the venue. It screams bread and massive match weights.

Maybe after all these posts on the subject. A chat to Paul or whoever is in charge now, is called for. Even if its just allowed in the winter. I know them skimmers in John’s would probably like a bit of liggy to…

IMO you can`t get a better bait for skimmers in the winter.

chris v its a bit of a joke watching all the dorking glory boys bring b and j and catch not a lot, also chopped worm these baits just dont seem to work at willy maybe bread in various guises could go the same way but firstly it would be nice to try and see the results then make a judgement but until its allowed we will never know ????

Malcolm – Unfortunately in my opinion you can never have a bait as “Hookbait Only” as some match anglers will cheat by finding a way to feed it.
